This stock medical exhibit shows left hip fractures with surgical fixation in a series of illustrations. The two illustrations show a posterior view of the post-accident condition in the pelvis, including severe fractures of the left acetabulum with dislocation of the left femoral head. The third illustration shows two surgical incisions: the first is an anterior exposure in which a 4-hole plate and screws are used to stabilize the anterior column. The second incision is a posterior exposure in which the posterior acetabulum is fixated with three plates and multiple screws. The fourth illustration shows an anterior view of the post-operative condition, including the 4-hole plate and screws stabilizing anterior fractures. The fifth illustration shows a posterior view of the post-operative condition, including multiple plates and screws fixating posterior fractures.
