Additional Cervical Disc Injury with Extension of Cervical Fusion

ID: exh57151b
This stock medical exhibit portrays the revision of a cervical fusion. The first image shows the pre-operative condition, in which a plate is already in place where a fusion of C4-C5 had previously been performed. The second image shows the post-operative condition, in which the original plate has been removed and a two-level plate has replaced it spanning C4-C5 and C5-C6. The lower images depict the procedure, including the incision, the removal of the original plate, the placement of bone graft, and the insertion of the new, two-level plate.
