This medical exhibit begins with an overview of the arterial supply of the lower leg of an obese female. Arteries shown include abdominal aorta, external iliac artery, femoral artery, popliteal artery, tibial artery. Three insets of depict a cut away detail of the abdominal aorta bifurcation. This series illustrates the development of the thrombus and resulting embolus. The final image is another overview showing the pathway of the embolus and location of blockage.
